Free download of In Harmony with Being–a book of my quotes and photographs

Starting in November 2009, I began writing a new quote to post each day on my website. I also posted each of the quotes here on my blog. My goal was to capture an experience or concept in four concise, simple, and hopefully somewhat poetic lines. Each of these quotes attempts to convey the way I see and experience things at this point in my life.

I used the same basic format as I did in Illuminations, Inneractions, and In Love, three books of my quotes paired with paintings by artist Gary Collins that were published several years ago. It was fascinating to me to use the same limiting form to take a current “snap shot” of how I view life. This time I used photos that I have taken as the artwork that accompanies each saying. The second big difference is that this time I am giving away the collection of sayings.

I invite you to read these sayings, download them for your own use, and to pass them along to anyone you choose. In fact, I’d love it if you would spread them as far and wide as possible.

  1. Dear Stephen,

You came into my world word of mouth so I added you to my blog roll so I can find you easily.

It is an honor to read your poetry book. I would like to link it in our One Light Many Windows blog recommendations. There are a group of us from around the world building a library of topics. Meantime, I look forward to reading your blog and book! Warmly, Kathy

    • Thank you, Kathy. Please do add the link to you One Light Many Windows blog (I love the name). I hope you will pass the word along.

      Love and grace

  2. Hey, great post. Great blog. It is fresh and to the point. I just read literally dozens of blogs, because I can’t sleep, and yours is by far the best quality. You know it is rare to find decent content on these things… Most of them are cheap and spammy.

  3. This is a lovely New Year’s gift, Stephen. I’ve been forwarding your blog to friends and family and will pass the word.Thank you!
I love the way your words open the door to the vast expanses of our Mother Earth.

    • Thank you, Meenakshi. I have taken a look at your blog, and have seen and felt the beautiful openings you are offering there, sister.

  4. I like the posts! You know exactly how to set the stage and follow up.
